Oahu, also known as ‘the Gathering Place,’ is a beautiful island located in the Central Pacific, which belongs to the Hawaiian chain.
It’s one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
Oahu is really diverse, from the world famous beaches of the North shore, full of green mountains, tropical, lush forests, sandy beaches, waterfalls, stunning hike trails and more.
We went whale watching this morning, where we saw many whales and baby whales with mamas.
It’s was so relaxing and beautiful to be able to watch them play in the water.
In the afternoon we went to the Diamond Head State Monument/Park and hiked to the summit of the crater.
After the hike we drove all the way to the north part of the island.
We stopped at the Waimea Bay Beach Park where Partick Swayze surfed the huge waves to the film “Point Break”.
The sunset from the beach was to die for.
To cap it all off, we stopped at a local oceanfront Tiki Bar & Grill, and enjoyed a lovely meal with our friends and sampled the local beers.
We loved the place.
Fun fact - The “hang loose” or “shaka” symbol 🤙 Originated in Oahu
