Today’s Port was to be Port Stanley, Falkland Islands.
Unfortunately because of the very strong winds the captain decided not to let us off the ship. The safe maximum for tender boats is 30 knots. The winds at the moment are 45 knots and will only get stronger as the day goes on.
We were supposed to go to see King Penguins today. The second-largest and most accessible colony of king penguins in the world. Unfortunately this won’t happen, but the captain made a right decision. The weather deteriorated rapidly after he turned around the ship.
