Day filled with breathtaking views, wildlife running around between our legs, I enjoyed the sounds and smells of the tropical rainforest very much. It was fantastic day.
The spectacular Iguazú Falls are located on a stretch of the Iguazú River that forms the boundary between Brazil and Argentina. Both the river and the falls get their name from a Guaraní Indian word meaning “great water.” In Brazil the falls are known as Iguaçu, or Iguassú.
The Brazilian side has better views, the Argentinian side gets you closer.
We toured the Argentinian side.
This is a third World Wonder we have visited in such a short time.
Fun fact: The Iguazu Falls was the natural set of Hollywood’s major production “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull”.
