Day 10, Tuesday, 19 Dec 2023, it’s a easy, relaxing day at sea.
I walked my usual 3 miles in the morning.
We got the journals, and everyone who wants to participate can do the challenge called Walking Around the World. It’s a minimum 1 mile a day, and you get the stamp each day if you show up.
We had a top tier event where they also celebrated 25 years of the Crown and Anchor Society. There were prizes, but at the end of the event everyone was given a hat.
I tried to book few more cruises for 2024. It took me over an hour on the phone to finally get the code with discount we were given but never received a code. It seems like one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing.
I also did the laundry. Royal made 3 laundry rooms on different decks available only for the whole world cruisers.
On our deck two out of three washing machines are already out of order. Apparently on other floors is the same. It’s crazy how fast new appliances break these days. Brand new machines stopped working only after 9 days:
We can also give 3 laundry bags per week to be washed for us, but many people choose to do the laundry the self because there have been already many complains about ruined clothes, missing clothes etc.
There have been also several medical emergencies, some people were send back home, some had to go to hospital and are back on the ship, some got minor accidents like sprained ankles etc. Lots going on and it’s only 10th day of the 274 nights cruise.
Tomorrow we will be in Barbados. Looking forward to our catamaran and snorkeling with the turtles excursion.
