Benoa, Bali, Indonesia
A tropical island at the heart of Indonesia, Bali is a dream vacation destination that always was on my list of places to visit. Paradise island with beautiful beaches, sweeping rice-field landscapes, and a traditional Hindu culture with fascinating temples and villages.
We had only 8 hours and were very limited with where we could go and what we could see and do.
We visited Monkey Island, Batuan Temple, rice fields, crafts village in Ubud which is known as the center of arts and crafts in Bali, and Satria coffee plantation.
The climate is brutal, and we were exhausted at the end of the day.
Unlike Lombok which is predominantly Muslim, in Bali 83% of the population is practicing Hinduism.
Fun fact about Bali: The word Bali means “sacrifice”
